January 6, 2022
Dear Carillon at Belleview Station Community,
We are writing to inform you that we have received additional positive COVID testing results from Monday Jan 3rd. With a total of 10 residents and 28 associates, since December 20, 2021, that have COVID. Of the 28 staff, 13 employees have recovered and returned to work. Many of the residents and associates are asymptomatic while others have mild flu like symptoms. All are vaccinated and the remaining are resting at home.
We have greatly appreciated everyone’s kind cooperation with COVID testing. We will continue to test every three to four days until we have three rounds of testing in which all residents and associates are negative. Our 4th round of testing is tomorrow, January 6, 2022. If there are positive COIVD tests from todays testing, we will test again Monday January 10, 2022.
Considering our current status, unvaccinated residents may not participate in group activities and in an abundance of caution we have made the decision to continue to keep the dining room closed temporarily. For all residents, visitation should occur in the resident’s apartment and avoid common areas.
Although visitation may continue according to guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) we strongly encourage all families and friends to be very cautious in making the decision to visit. Because so many people are asymptomatic and can be contagious without realizing it, you may be unknowingly exposing your loved one to COVID. Please carefully consider the number of visitors as well as the frequency of visits.
Families and friends who plan on visiting must ensure that they have not been exposed within the last 14 days to anyone with COVID. Anyone with even very mild symptoms such as a runny nose should reschedule their visit until they are fully recovered. Please do not visit after being exposed to large crowds and always wear a mask in public.
For residents, now is a time to be extra vigilant in following recommendations:
- Always wear a mask when indoors except when you are in your own apartment.
- Avoid large family groups.
- Maintain 6’ social distance with others whenever possible.
- Frequently sanitize your hands.
- We held our Booster clinic yesterday, thank you for all who attended.
We will continue to stay in close communication with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and specialists at Denver County and follow their direction and protocols. We will notify you as any changes are made.
If you have any further questions, please reach out to Carillon at Belleview Station’s new Executive Director, Shannon Arwood-Dionese at 720-440-8200.
Sincerely,
Tom Finley and Susie Finley, Founders and Principals
